Mika Jasen • The Supermove

Mika Jasen • The Supermove

March 25, 2026

Act 1:
Same flickering streetlight at dusk. Mika Jasen (red Thriller jacket, single white glove, fedora tilted low) standing in his BAD pose, with one hand on his belt buckle, the other snapping his fingers. A boombox softly plays a faint "Beat It" instrumental as he's quietly mumbling to himself. A kid and his skeptical little brother walk up and stop, wide-eyed.
MIKA JASEN

(cautiously looks over) Ah-hee! Kids… you came at just the right time. Where's the rest of your friends? (pauses) Forget I asked that. (snaps getting more intense) I was just waiting to do my spin move. You wanna see? A-hee-hee-hee!

BILLY

What? Me watch Michael Jackson do a spin move? You bet I do!

DANNY

A spin move?

MIKA JASEN

Yeah. A spin move. It's a new super move I'm working on and I've been charging it up with all these snaps that I've been doing. You ready? Hold onto your fedoras, kids… This is gonna be a thriller!

DANNY

But, I'm not wearing a fedora?

MIKA JASEN

(intensely) Ah-hoooooo!

Mika does a super spin that creates a whirlwind and it knocks off Daniel's baseball hat.
MIKA JASEN

(breathing heavy) The baddies… been holding me down… (heavy breathing) suppressing the real me. (heavy breathing) But I gotta save the children… (heavy breathing) Chamone!

Mika does a dramatic kick, spin, and then points intently down the dark street.
BILLY

Michael Jackson! You really are fighting the bad guys?

DANNY

Wait… I thought you said they cloned you last time?

Act 2: The Confession
Mika stops. He sighs deeply, kneels down to the child's height, takes his glove off, and smiles softly.
MIKA JASEN

Alright… truth time. I was never cloned. I said that stuff cause it’s the trend. I figured people would finally listen if I threw in some wild clone talk. A-hee-hee.

Kids gasp. Mika paces under the light, getting more intense but still soft-spoken.
MIKA JASEN

But the real stuff? Genetics… DNA research… all them secret labs messing with kids. Well… I could tell you, but you’d never believe me anyway…

Mika suddenly brightens and waves them forward excitedly.
MIKA JASEN

Come with me, kids. I wanna show you something. You gotta see this. But stay close… This could be dangerous.

DANNY

(pumping his little fists) Danger’s my middle name! Danny Danger! Let’s go let’s go let’s GOOO! Can I wear your glove while we sneak? Pleeease?

Act 3: The Facility
Mika leads the kids a short way down the block to a shadowy, fenced building with faint humming sounds and dim blue lights inside. A sign reads “Private Research – Authorized Personnel Only.” Mika looks genuinely worried, eyes wide with concern.
MIKA JASEN

(whispering, serious) See? They do experiments on little ones in there. It ain’t right. I’m trying to stop it… that’s why I gotta keep working on my super spin move… I gotta keep fighting the man. They've been holding me down for far too long.

Daniel looks scared, Billy is fascinated. Mika gently turns them around.
MIKA JASEN

Now, get back home, both of you. Street lights are on… it’s getting dark out. I’ll light the way.

Mika smiles and waves. The kids take off back home with each of the sidewalk panels temporarily lighting up when they step on them. The kids take off, waving their goodbyes.
Act 4: Homecoming
Billy excitedly bursts into his house with his brother Danny. Mom and Dad are setting the dinner table, barely looking up.
BILLY

Mom! Dad! Michael Jackson showed us a secret lab where they experiment on kids! He even lit up the sidewalk for us to make it home safely! Mom!

MOM

(not looking up) That’s nice, honey. Go wash your hands for dinner.

DANNY

He's for real! Michael Jackson really showed us that!

DAD

Bedtime routine, boys. Shower, dinner, brush teeth, pajamas — let’s go. No more stories tonight.

The kids look defeated as they're ushered upstairs.
DANNY

Oh, alright… but he's for real. Michael Jackson was really there!

BILLY

(whispers) It's no use, they're never gonna believe us.

Act 5: Under the Light
Mika sits alone under the flickering streetlight, head bowed, quietly wiping tears from his face with his white glove. He sees his white glove is stained. He exhales. He looks up at the sky, voice soft but with a hint of playful cadence.
MIKA JASEN

(sniffles) Lord… these kids got the spark. Keep ’em safe tonight, okay? And… if You got any extra supermoves up there for me… send ’em my way. Ah-Hee-hee… Amen.

Mika stands, does a gentle spin under the light, picks up his boombox playing Man In The Mirror, and slowly fades into the night. Glowing sidewalk panels dim slowly.
